Professional Objectives
Objective 1: To create an activity for students to learn how to appropriately behave/socialize with friends, family, school, and the community.
Activities/Resources:
observe therapy sessions that focus on regulating emotions and working on behavior skills
asked questions about the different strategies with each child
worked on outside research to learn more about appropriate behavior and how to implement it
researched different activities that can benefit children’s social skills
Evidence:
I created a friendship land board game based on increasing social skills.

Objective 2: Create and teach a lesson plan for kids on bullying
Activities/Resources:
researched bullying and ways to prevent it
worked with my supervisor to get some ideas
Evidence:
I created a bullying poster to explain bullying, created buddy vs bully activities, and made an anti-bullying pledge for the kids to sign.

Internship Details Duties include:
observed IEP (individualized intervention plan) meetings
observed BIT (behavioral intervention team) meetings
assisted in therapy activities for kids with behavioral issues or special needs
observed and implementing second step lesson plans
interacted/observed students learning and interacting with other students in the classroom
got a better idea of the daily tasks of a school social worker
got a chance to work with a child one-on-one to help make a difference in their life
